The F2 Design & Workflow Process

F2’s designers combine industry standard design tools and technologies with refined creativity and technical know-how to help your organisation realise its potential and aspirations in the online marketing and information arena.

F2’s designers combine industry standard design tools and technologies with refined creativity and technical know-how to help your organisation realise its potential and aspirations in the online marketing and information arena.  Our goal is to produce truly inspirational designs for our clients that meld well with our range of innovative web-based marketing and management tools to engage your clients and ensure their positive perception of your company’s online marketing effort.

Our designs have been described as ‘clean’, ‘unique’ and ‘engaging’, and we’re passionate about ensuring your site’s success in attracting, capturing, retaining and promoting.

Our design and work flow process is defined as follows:

1. Initial discussions with the client on design requirements, including company branding, functionality, content requirements, and basic definition of project goals.

2. Presentation of the proposal and pricing estimates to the client.

3. Initial design + design modifications of approximately five to ten hours, depending on specifications. The client is also able to select a number of suitable templates from the F2 web site for examples on structure and layout.

4. Meeting with the client for the presentation of the initial design concept (usually home page and one content page) with discussion on design modifications if required.

5. Implementation of design modifications, if required.

6. Meeting/discussion to present final design concept.

7. Client sign-off and go ahead for the cut-up and conversion of the design to the website and/or content management system. A deposit of 30% of the job estimate is required at this stage.

8. Addition of client copy/content and commencement of training (for Joomla! CMS sites)

9. Final review of content and any final non-structural modifications to the design.

10. Client sign-off, go-live and invoice to client for final payment.

Please note that we work on a time-based billing method and that any design modifications requiring our time will be charged for.  Once a site’s structure, in terms of navigation and layout, is approved and the design cut-up and implemented, modifications to the overall site structure are difficult to undertake without sometimes needing to re-do the design from scratch.  Please note structural changes are different to content changes.

F2’s clients have access to F2’s Sweeper job management system and will be able to view the progress, in terms of time spent and sections completed, at each step of the design and implementation process.  Design concepts are also provided via PDF or printed screenshots and made available via a client-accessible area within the Sweeper job management system.  The go-ahead for the acceptance of the design is also made by the client through the Sweeper job management console.
