Our Winery Wedding
F2 has been busy over the last six months, developing a specialised online dynamic proposal management tool for one of our clients, due for release in 2015.
The result of this development now allows F2's Platfform CRM to develop the facility for our clients to manage unique, dynamic, multi-conditional proposals on their own websites to capture 24 hour function enquiries and, further to that, the ability to push these function proposals from their own systems, directly into a dedicated directory promoting winery weddings and events, expanding their route to market.
F2 Qualifies for WISA Supplier of the Year Finalist, 2014
Last night, Josh Francis and Belinda Hamlyn represented Foote Francis at the WISA (Wine Industry Supplier Association) 2014 Wine Industry Supplier of the Year Awards in Adelaide, and were delighted to be in such great company as finalists for the Innovation Award. We would like to congratulate 3M on their fantastic achievement in winning for their new filtration technology, as well as all of the other finalists.
F2 Optional Monthly Support Plans
Since 2002, F2 has supported the implementation of many hundreds of Joomla websites, and provided regular training, support, development, and thought leadership across all manner of client business requirements.
We recognise and understand the challenges associated with implementing and maintaining a website. The most common issues we see clients face are their website security, keeping Joomla and 3rd party components up-to-date, building internal staff knowledge, and 3rd party business systems integration (e.g. MYOB).
The Need For Speed - Improving Your Page Load
Website 'page load' speed influences your website's SEO ranking and there are some interesting articles and videos available that help to explain this, from a Google perspective at least. Not too technical and well worth a read / view when you have a few spare moments.
If yours is a global or, at least, national brand, it will be important to ensure that your website is humming along nicely and there are a few tools, such as GT Metrix and Pingdom, that are excellent for testing your website's speed / page download time from various parts of the world. The results can be a touch on the technical side, however the ratings should be recognisable enough for you to understand.
Responsive Website Considerations
Given the focus on mobile and smart phone computing now-a-days, we rarely do a new website implementation that isn't 'responsive'. This new-ish bit of industry jargon refers to the ability of the website template to respond to different browser dimensions, primarily focused on the width of the browser being detected and, in most cases, collapsing the content to suit. For the smaller smart phone browser widths, this means mostly reformatting and optimising the content for vertical scrolling.
Managing 404 Errors - (Page) Not Found
When a page cannot be found on your website, generally following a search or click through from a 3rd party website URL where the link itself may be out of date or has changed, an error known as a '404 Not Found' can occur. 404s are a slight nuisance and can occur through the natural course and progression of managing your content, changing menu items and so on. The result for the website visitor is that they may lose interest and seek their information elsewhere.
