Joomla!Cloner is a backup and restore component designed for the Joomla! CMS by a 3rd party Joomla! development company based in Germany, JoomlaPlug. Joomla!Cloner was designed specifically to create custom backups of any Joomla! site and to be able to restore the 'clone' to any other location with the help of the automatic restore script provided and independent of any other 3rd party components being used
Your organisation's website is like any other piece of software and must be kept up-to-date and/or backed up regularly. The Joomla! CMS is a web-based, database-driven software applicaton that enables you to manage your website content in-house. The Joomla! software, database and your website content should be backed up at least once per month, or more frequently depending on the number and frequency of changes that are occuring.
We therefore believe that Joomla!Cloner backup component is a mandatory system for all of our sites, and have built the cost of this component into all of our new proposals. We charge $250 (ex GST) for the installation and configuration of the Joomla!Cloner component, and there is a $11 per backup charge for data storage and the piece of mind this procedure provides.
